Paul Perales, MSW, LCSW I view our relationship as a collaboration to help you better understand yourself and realize your ability to live a healthy and joyful life. I enjoy collaborating with families, couples and individuals of all ages who are experiencing difficulty with mental health and relationships. In a safe environment we can work towards healthy identity development including ethnic minorities and LGBTQ individuals.
I use a variety of therapy and theoretical approaches including narrative and solution focused therapy. The use of stories in narrative therapy can help in the telling of a new story related to experiences of grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, identity and relationship issues. The brief approach of solution focused therapy is useful to frame the presenting issue in a present manageable light.
